The Friluftsliv Farm will set a new standard for a twenty-first century farmstead. The farmstead will support a multi-generational family, and allow for aging in place to occur. The space will have a small footprint, multi-purposed rooms, and innovative solutions that incorporate technology and storage. Multiple cultural influences will be infused in design decisions made throughout the farmstead. Buddhism and Catholicism will be major religion influences that will influence design choice in the residence as well as the small business. The farmstead will incorporate inclusive and sustainable design practices.
